Position Overview:
The Technical Assistance Coordinator is responsible for developing, providing, coordinating, tracking, promoting training/coaching and technical assistance for Seedco Financial clients, and providing support to other organizational areas related and/or dependent on technical assistance to meet its goals. The Technical Assistance Coordinator is requires traveling.
Responsibilities:
Training & Outreach
• Oversees project's multiple training activities;
• Designs, develops, and conducts trainings, panel discussions, and speaking engagements for audiences with a wide range of professional backgrounds;
• Coordinates outreach and marketing efforts to solicit and promote training opportunities to businesses, employers, and other target audiences; and
• Assist in the content development for new workshops and revision of existing ones. Work collaboratively with the communication and marketing departments and partners to develop and promote services.
Technical Assistance
• Coordinate an efficient and effective technical assistance program designed to ensure timely response to requests for information and assistance, including:
o Provide, when necessary, direct technical assistance in response to customer requests;
o Develop and manage relationships to establish a network of external technical assistance providers that have capacity to provide specialized services;
o Ensure that staff who provide technical assistance have appropriate training, expertise, and communication skills and convey information accurately;
o Work with Portfolio Analyst to ensure that existing borrowers have access to technical assistance;
o Ensure that the organization adheres to technical assistance tracking and reporting guidelines in general, as well as for specific programs; may require utilizing separate program-specific tracking systems; and
o Develop and maintain system and/or process to assess the impact that technical assistance has on the customers who receive it.
Materials Development
• Work in collaboration with staff to develop and distribute appropriate and highly usable materials to target populations, including efforts to enhance outreach efforts to culturally diverse groups and underserved populations.
Administrative Duties
• Supervise sub-contractors to ensure a high level of customer service and that project deadlines are met; and
• Participate in proposal writing, budget management, and program management as needed.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Management, or related field;
• 5 – 7 years of extensive training and/or technical assistance experience;
• Demonstrated knowledge and previous experience in planning and conducting basic, intermediate and advanced training programs for diverse audiences;
• 3 – 5 years of management experience, including supervision of staff;
• Prior work experience working with and advising businesses and not-for-profit organizations, preferred;
• Experience working with MWBE, LMI businesses and not-for-profit organizations a plus;
• Must be Able to handle multiple projects and to prioritize effectively;
• The Ability to work as a team member as well as independently is required;
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required;
• Must have demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and solid decision making;
• Previous experience in preparing proposals and in project coordination is required; and
• Previous experience in the development and facilitation of workshops, panels and one on one coaching is a must.
