The Assistant Editor/Associate Producer (AE/AP) will work closely with Director of Video Production to plan, shoot and edit videos and motion graphics. Although the candidate will be involved in all aspects of overall production including pre-production planning, shoots, and post production; emphasis will be place on post-production to organize and execute the post-production of specific content, watch footage and organize into story lines and overall story arches. Additionally, the candidate will upload video to various social and in-house networks. The AE/AP must work well with others, be creative, take direction well, be HIGHLY motivated, and be very organized. Most importantly, the AE/AP must be prepared to work in an always evolving and fast-paced start-up environment managing multiple projects. This is a full-time position with salary and eligibility for benefits.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should be able to perform the following duties:
• Log and assess previously delivered footage.
• Source or create video, audio and graphic assets when they are unavailable under exceedingly tight timelines and budget limitations.
• Use Final Cut, After Effects and Adobe Creative Suite to execute post-production.
• Understand best practices from concept through web compression.
• Be unflappable and professional in your interaction with business partners.
• Work in a highly collaborative creative environment where ideas will be challenged and feedback will come in volumes and at the same time be prepared to take single projects from start to finish of post alone, as needed.
• Manage hard-drive storage and general media asset archives.
• Provide production assistance during various shoots including pre-production planning, loading/setting-up equipment, operating second camera, shoots, release forms, etc.

The candidate should have:
• An online reel showing editing skills as well as knowledge of Internet compression/codec techniques.
• 2 years experience, or equivalent skills, working with digital editing systems professionally
• A strong knowledge of Final Cut Pro, After Effects and Adobe Creative Suite
• Abilities to manage time, communicate, multi-task
• Aptitude to learn quickly with little training
• Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
• Capacity to remain focused in an active environment and open workspace
