Canal Barge Company (CBC) of New Orleans is seeking a Management Analyst. This position will work closely with our Management Accounting, Marketing, and Transportation Services professionals to assist in tracking business performance, identifying trends, and analyzing possible improvements. Specific duties include: 1. Perform vessel production analysis and management reporting for operational leaders; 2. Work directly with Business Unit leaders to price freight transportation; 3. Work directly with Business Unit leaders to develop annual budgets and multi-year forecasts; 4. Conduct market analysis, customer research, and competitor benchmarking; and 5. Perform other projects/duties as assigned.

Candidates should have an undergraduate degree in business with a concentration in Management/Cost Accounting, Finance, Quantitative Analysis, and/or Computer Information Systems. An MBA or related degree is helpful. Candidates should also have 3-5 years of full-time work experience at minimum, with a background or interest in transportation, logistics, oil & gas, maritime, energy and/or commodities industries preferred.
