AIA New Orleans will be presenting DesCours, a free, public, ten-day architecture, art, and design exhibition and festival. DesCours invites internationally renowned architects and artists to create 16 architecture installations within 'hidden' locations in the heart of New Orleans. Not only does DesCours provide a platform for experimentation in new materials and forms of making in the fields of architecture and design, but it also highlights architectural spaces that are normally unseen or inaccessible to the public. DesCours also features local musicians and incorporates their performances into various aspects of the exhibition and festival.

Each night of DesCours, two volunteers will be needed at each site to direct visitors and answer questions regarding the spaces, installations, the artists and the musicians who will perform. Volunteers should be willing to be helpful and should be unafraid of speaking to the public. An interest in history, art and architecture is a plus! Security will be provided at each site.
