Position Summary
Coordinates and provides administrative support to the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), Cooking Matters (CM), and other programs. Monitors children and seniors programs to ensure they are operating within SFSP, Title 3, and other program, grant, and federal guidelines. Develops and maintains relationships with community partners to support the company's outreach and volunteerism efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Monitors SFSP Special Nutrition Program Sites and attends all applicable training sessions.
• Assists in the development of strategies and proposals to ensure that the Summer Food Service Program and Cooking Matters programs are able to readily adapt to future growth and scope.
• Provides administrative support; maintains program materials, inventory, databases, records, and files; assists with the preparation of reports and other funding sources and monitors the data collected to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Performs community outreach functions to build awareness, credibility, and demand of programs.
• Cultivates and maintains positive relationships with schools and charitable community organizations
• Recruits and manages volunteers, including chefs, nutritionists/dietitians, and class assistants.
• Gives presentations and/or tours related to federal feeding programs to employee groups, service organizations, religious groups, and others.
• Identifies and partners with community agencies to host Cooking Matters courses and recruit participants.
• Works with agency staff to schedule classes and carry out shared expectations and responsibilities.
• Coordinates classes, manages program volunteers, and collaborates with community partners.
• Manages communications with course volunteers and site coordinators.
• Collects and prepares materials for classes, including food, equipment, and course paperwork.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in public health or other health-related degree preferred and/or social service background specializing in program development.
• Working knowledge of USDA, SFSP, and Title 3 administration and applications.
• Familiarity with grant writing, federal processes, and compliance.
• Experience working with a wide range of people including professional chefs, social service providers, volunteers, and economically-challenged participants.
• Able to manage projects and time while demonstrating attention to detail, accuracy, and the meeting of deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to make effective public presentations.
• Skilled at overseeing groups and delegating appropriate tasks.
• Ability to effectively promote a program and pursue outreach opportunities.
• Intermediate-level knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends to conduct classes and attend community meetings.
• Ability to travel locally with the willingness to work in the field on a regular basis; occasional travel for overnight trainings.
• Must have own transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance.
