Well-established New Orleans not-for-profit seeks energetic self-starter for bookkeeping and accounting support for a 2,000+ member organization engaged in community outreach and volunteer development. The Accounting Manager for the Junior League of New Orleans will work closely with volunteers, staff, and outside auditors to manage all financial bookkeeping and accounting support of this not-for-profit organization. Responsibilities include budget, general ledger through financial statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Candidate must have the ability and enthusiasm to manage multiple projects, such as routine monthly reconciliations and reporting along with support for seasonal projects such as annual fundraising events and the launch of a new online fundraiser. Accounting manager develops and recommends procedural changes and upgrades to maximize operating efficiency. Computer proficiency, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills a must. Prefer accounting degree or three years relevant experience in a similar position with demonstrated financial acumen, accounting skills, and computer proficiency.
