Green Coast Enterprises (http://www.greencoastenterprises.com/) is hiring a Finance Manager to
support our expanding work with energy efficient retrofits in New Orleans.

About GCE
GCE develops real estate and performs a continuum of real estate services focused on urban
areas in need of community renewal located in the Southeastern United States, with a special
focus on coastal areas threatened by climate change. We are currently expanding our service
offering in the area of energy efficiency, in conjunction with grant financing provided to the City
of New Orleans.

About the Program
GCE is a subcontractor supporting the NOLA Wise Energy Efficiency Program (“the Program”),
which will provide financial support for energy efficiency upgrades to homeowners in the City of
New Orleans. At present, the Program has committed funding for one calendar year, but
additional funding is possible depending on the performance of the Program. One part of GCE’s
role in the Program is to manage the necessary relationship with lending institutions providing
loans to homeowners who seek to finance retrofit work.

Job Responsibilities
The Finance Manager will be responsible for the following tasks in conjunction with the
Program:
1. Developing and maintaining relationships with banks and other financial institutions that
provide loans to support energy efficient retrofits and upgrades
2. Evaluating the performance of the financial products associated with the Program and
recommending improvements or modifications to these products as needed
3. Assisting with compliance relating to the financial products associated with the Program
4. Developing a business plan for the ongoing sustainability and resource development of the
Program
5. Collecting, tracking, and analyzing energy performance data compiled through the Program

The Finance Manager will report to Reuben Teague, Principal, and collaborate with Karley
Frankic, GCE’s Construction Supervisor.

Salary and Benefits
The Finance Manager will earn a competitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus
benefits which include health insurance through a Health Savings Account eligible plan.

Candidate Qualifications
Candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree at an accredited institution to be considered
for the position. They must also currently reside in Greater New Orleans or be willing to
relocate immediately.

The ideal candidate will have:

Advanced understanding of energy policy issues, environmental stewardship and options,
and energy technologies including renewable sources and energy efficiency

Experience in developing financing options for energy efficiency and renewable
installations

Coursework or a degree in finance, economics, or public policy, especially any post-
graduate or Masters degrees in related areas (M.B.A., M.Fin., etc.)

Demonstrably strong quantitative skills

Strong communication abilities, including the ability to read and understand complex
documents

Exposure to business plan creation and writing

We do not expect candidates to meet all of these criteria, but they are indicative of the caliber of
individual we seek.

While the Program is only guaranteed to receive funding for the next calendar year, GCE intends
to hire candidates based on their long-term fit with the organization, in the hope that additional
funding for the Program will be secured and additional opportunities will emerge. The Finance
Manager will be partially responsible for securing long-term Program funding.
