New Orleans Tech is the first news source dedicated to highlighting technology in New Orleans. Our organization focuses on tech news within the city, has a bi-weekly podcast, and community outreach programs. We are looking for someone who has a deep love for technology and can help us fulfill our goals. Your mission (should you chose to accept it, see: Mission Impossible reference ) will be to help us propel our organization into the stratosphere and add value to the technology community. By the time this internship is up you’ll be a master of Google, a guru at Wordpress, and a social media maven.

Duties
• Create bi-monthly newsletter
• Engage readers through Twitter and Facebook
• Editing audio files for bi-weekly podcast
• Conducting interviews with technology figures around the city
• Gathering data for article research
• Coordinating a variety of community outreach programs
• Manage technology events by Google calendar and Facebook
• Creating a plan for promotion to increase readership

Qualifications
• Good written and verbal skills
• Experience with social media tools
• Must own a computer (preferably with a web cam)
• Must love New Orleans
• Must have a passion for technology
• Ability to thrive without direct supervision or oversight
• Be able to attend quarterly meetings
• Ability to work in a team setting

Commitment:3 months minimum – 6 months maximum (Unpaid; Food Perks)
