The Culinary Internship is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience working in a high food volume Community Kitchen. Work as part of a team using scratch cooking methods that will serve the local community in our fight to end hunger in south Louisiana.
The intern will be asked to work in different levels of our operation. Responsibilities will range in purchasing, stewarding, cost control and 80% scratch cooking in a high food volume environment.
Specific duties may include but are not limited to:
Responsible for supervising volunteers
Daily meal production and packaging
Daily temperature log control
Basic culinary training with volunteers
Producing daily family meal
