Spear Consulting Group, one of the fastest growing marketing and public relations firms in the New Orleans metro area is seeking a Public Relations/Business Development rock star to add to our ever growing team of talent. We operate an exciting, fast pace, team oriented work environment.

We are seeking a Public Relations/ Business Development Director to oversee the firms existing portfolio of PR clientele and further develop this portfolio with new clients and opportunities. Potential candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills, have the ability to manage multiple projects at once, be a strategic and creative thinker, and have previous public relations and business development experience.

Other Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or Communication
• Excellent time management skills
• B2B or outside sales experience
• Familiar with working with and interfacing with media
• Existing media list
• Existing media relationships
• Proficient at pitching, planning and placing local and regional media
• Familiar with fully integrated marketing campaigns including PR, advertising, social media and community engagement
• Comfortable in high pressure situations
• Proficient in Social Media, social media tracking, social media analytics
• Ability to effectively communicate project status and manage client expectations
• Detail oriented
• Goal oriented and willing to go above and beyond for the client
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to identify new opportunities, create customized solutions and secure new clients
• Experience in proposal writing
