Webapps has built a team of talented and creative engineers, but we are not done yet! We are still building our team, and are looking for a Software Developer rock star who is passionate, purposeful and poised to put their innovative thinking into action from day one. We’re a fast-paced, creative team that is focused on developing the best, most consumable applications for Affiliate Marketing Industry.
Even paid experience isn't a requirement, provided you're willing to learn and have some background that shows both interest and aptitude for the kinds of things we do; for example, a computer science degree, or some open source projects.
We are located in a great old building in New Orleans. The home town of a few of our team, but most are transplants to the area. Our diverse team of people have collectively lived and traveled all of the world and speak 4 languages.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE BEFORE
• Built data-driven web applications using PHP
• Designed and maintained relational database schemas using MySQL
• You also know the ins and outs of Javascript (DHTML, OOP, AJAX, jQuery, JSON), HTML and CSS.
• Knowledge of LAMP (Linux-Apache-MySQL-PHP) based development
• 1+ years of experience in developing web application using the above tools
• Experience integrating with 3rd party APIs is a plus
• Ability to resolve cross-browser compatibility issues
• Experience working with version control systems (Git/Subversion)
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Produce standards-compliant code while adhering to best practices in order to create efficient code from a structure, performance, scalability, SEO and design standpoint.…and we want you to have fun while doing it.
• Approach each project as an opportunity to improve the work designed, not just simply execute it.
• Act as a resource to the Support Department troubleshooting and resolving bugs, issues and provide
continuing education to Support Personnel on researching items brought to them by clients.
• Contribute to quality assurance testing including design and functionality bug tracking and resolution, browser/operating system testing and accessibility testing.
• Stay connected and engaged in the digital community to expose new technologies to the rest of the agency.
• Help us grow our platform with clever, long-lasting solutions that serve to grow our business.
• Bring us what no one else has – a fresh perspective that sets you apart from the pack.
• Requires the ability to manage tasks and projects independently, working with others in a mentoring role and being a technical resource
