The Regional Human Resources Manager will partner with assigned Regional Directors and District Managers to provide professional consultation and advice in the areas of talent acquisition and assessment, succession planning, employee relations and Store Support Center generated initiatives to solve issues and drive business results. Also serves as the broader HR liaison to answer questions regarding HR policies and procedures. Oversees and drives full execution of recruiting for field management positions (with focus on SM positions and including involvement in DM recruiting).
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the recruiting, selection and development processes of internal/external candidates for Store Manager and District Manager positions.
Works with Human Resources Representatives to support assigned regions' management teams to identify internal talent pool (Talent Development Candidates) through assessment and succession planning.
Works with HR Reps to support external hiring needs for SM positions and with Sr HRMs in support of DM recruiting.
Ensure execution of all field training programs; participate in various programs as required. Manage compliance to training schedules through partnership with field management teams.
Assist in the development and execution of development plans for high-potential employees.
Ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
Serve as a resource and strategic business partner to assigned regions.
Partner with management team on employee relations issues in the assigned regions.
Drive effective leadership in developing and implementing employee retention initiatives.
Identify employee relations trends that are most impacting assigned region and partner with management to develop a plan to address them
Partner with the Director of Field HR, Director of Field Training and the Training and Organizational Development Department to develop and ensure implementation of effective training and development programs that improve identified gaps of knowledge, skills or performance.
Participates as a business partner in region meetings or other meetings as required.
Serve as an employee and manager advocate constantly monitoring the pulse of the region(s) supported to ensure a positive, productive workplace environment.
Knowledge and Skills
Extensive knowledge of state and federal employment law
Ability to mediate between employees during conflict resolution
Ability to influence others to achieve the desired outcome or result
Ability to achieve measurable results through collaboration and influence
Exceptional planning, coordination, project management and implementation skills
Advanced ability to communicate with employees at all levels (both verbal and written communication skills)
Strong presentation skills
Position requires extensive travel.
Work Experience and/or Education
Bachelor's degree required.
Degree in Human Resources preferred. PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of general HR experience, with a concentration on Employee Relations, Recruiting and Succession/Talent Management, preferably in the retail industry.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
Compensation will consist of a competitive salary based on your experience, with bonus potential.
