PollBob is an iPhone app and website where you can survey your friends, discover opinions, and earn rewards. In short, we make it really easy to find out what people think on any topic or issue. Users create polls & surveys, share them with friends and others, and get opinions in real-time. We also provide a targeted and affordable way for small businesses and organizations to conduct market research on-the-go and generate conclusive opinions on their products and services. PollBob is a do-it-yourself platform for collecting targeted insights, delivering rewards, and building brand loyalty.

PollBob launched less than 3 months ago and is already seeing some incredible traction with its user base, with over 150,000+ opinions shared since launch. All of the development work so far has been done through a contract relationship with talented design and development firms out of New Orleans and Connecticut, but we want someone as committed as we are to come on board and help take the platform to the next level. We are not looking for someone to hire, we are looking for a co-founder and equity partner. This position is for a Lead Developer Role (mainly on the web side of things), and we’re willing to offer a significant equity stake to the right person.

We have raised substantial funding to date and are looking to raise another round in the near future. In addition, we were accepted into and graduated from the Idea Village’s IVEC program, a startup accelerator program in New Orleans.

The website uses a MySQL database and is built in PHP with plenty of JavaScript, AJAX and jQUERY. We also have an API that integrates with our iPhone app. While this position is mainly for the web side of things, experience with iPhone apps is a huge plus.

One other important thing, we are located in New Orleans and in order to be considered for the partner position, you have to be willing to relocate to New Orleans if you do not already live here. New Orleans is a startup city on the rise and offers some fantastic opportunities and lifestyle adventures. We are from New Orleans and are happy to help you with all things related to relocating to a new city.

Aside from the moving, nothing is as important as what you bring to the table. We’re not looking to give away a big chunk of our company so we can tell you what to do every day. We want someone that is creative, takes initiative, and can help drive our company in new directions. This is a true co-founder position with lots of autonomy.
