Company Overview: TMG Consulting provides services to airports, transit agencies, local and state government, business and industry including resort, gaming and recreation enterprises. These services include market assessments, public sector revenue/development impact assessments, economic impact studies, land use and master planning, capital improvement programming and management, zoning analyses, environmental assessment and coordination, benefit-cost analyses and other services.

The firm has over 25 years of experience providing consulting services to more than 20 airports large and small, particularly in the areas of financial analysis and capital facilities program development and financing. Our staff has experience with over 10 casino management firms.

Position Overview: TMG Consulting is seeking an intern who can integrate into all facets of our company. The intern should expect to become involved in various projects. Tasks may include research, drafting reports, editing, field work, attending meetings, detailed note-taking, data compilation, data review and analysis, and preparing responses to client proposals. Some clerical tasks may also be assigned.

Qualifications Desired:

• Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate coursework at an accredited institution. Recent graduates may also be considered. Transcripts may be requested.
• Background in urban planning or economics desirable. Other liberal arts will be considered based on professed interests in the markets we work in such as aviation, transit, tourism, hotels, and casinos/gaming.
• Excellent computer skills. Must be fluent in programs such as Word and Excel. Experience with other programs such as AutoCad, ArcGIS, MapInfo or SPSS may also be beneficial, but proficiency in Microsoft Office is absolutely required.
• Excellent research skills.
• Experience with technical writing.
• Excellent people skills – this internship may require contact with clients.
• Ability to work in a team and take direction from various people.

Compensation: Negotiable and based on experience.

Term: Initially, the intern should commit to working the summer and upcoming semester. Extension of term for the remaining academic year will be based on performance and availability.
