More dedicated than a full body tattoo, able to go without sleep for long periods of time, willing to stay up late and talk to strangers and insanely passionate about music and sustainability. Is that you? If so, please read on.
Job description: There isn't one. You'll be interning at a new and innovative music festival that is actively involved in creating a new New Orleans. One day you may be working on Twitter, Facebook or Myspace, the next day you might be interfacing with artist representatives over parking spots for tour buses. You're forwarned – this is a new start-up, so if you are looking for a team of underlings and assistants to help you find the copy machine or tell you when its 4:59 pm so you can hit the door, this isn't the gig for you. Some areas of experience that would be helpful in working with us: *Music event production *Festival production *Social media *Marketing *Promotions *Web design/Graphic design *Sound engineering *Press/Public relations *Sustainable practices *Environmental engineering
Some weeks you'll be in an office, others you may be hitting 3 or 4 events to promote the festival. Some days you may not start till 9 pm and get home when the suns coming up.
If you've done this type of work before, you know its just that – work. Festivals aren't put together by simply standing around looking at rock stars. We are creating an experience for concert goers and this is the first of many years to come. Its important. If you want to be in on the next addition to the festival circuit, this is your opportunity. Please send a resume and a brief introductory letter explaining your awesomeness to interns [at] project3090 [dot] com and we'll be in touch quickly.
