Ochsner is currently seeking an Accountant III for the following: With minimal supervision, this Accountant III position is responsible for multiple duties within the Financial Accounting Department, as well as for any special projects assigned by his or her supervisors. Some of the specific duties include, but are not limited to: compilation of financial statements, analysis of assigned accounts or a specific entity’s income statements, preparation of journal entries and accounts reconciliations, implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures and assist with the financial audit preparation and the coordination of the annual audit process. Demonstrates actions consistent with OHS Guiding Principles as duties are performed on a daily basis.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 5-7 years Finance or Accounting related experience; knowledge of spreadsheet applications (Microsoft Excel), Database Management applications (Crystal, Microsoft Access); MBA or CPA and Lawson Software experience preferred. Self directed and able to work with little supervision. Ability to exercise good judgement in handling difficult situations. Strong analytical skills required, as well as the ability to exercise good organizational, communication and time management skills.
