Ochsner is currently seeking a Director of Business Development for the following: The incumbent is responsible for all aspects of business development including: growth and/or sustaining market share in all major service lines through the creations, implementation, or expansion of product line initiatives; development of physician relationships and identification of new market niches or segments. The position will encompass strategic planning, competitive analysis and physician relations. The position will also assist in the development of marketing strategy associated with business development. Communicates and interprets organizational and departmental mission goals and objectives to all areas of responsibility. Provides leadership and direction in the planning, implementation, and evaluation activities of all areas of responsibility.

Requirements: Master degree (preferred), or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare or Business Administration or related field. Minimum five years experience in successfully managing complex hospital and patient care delivery. Ten years of related health care experience including three years of supervision or management experience may be substituted in lieu of educational requirements.

Professional attitude and ability to relate to executive management, professionals and business and community leaders. Exhibits excellent leadership and self-direction, good judgment in handling difficult situations and good organizational, time management, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
