Ochsner is currently seeking a Director of System Managed Care Contracting for the following: responsible for payor contracting, strategic planning, direction and overall accountability for department. Independently makes decisions that affect the overall division and/or OHS’s financial objectives, performance objectives and strategic results. Develops and is accountable for budget for department or multiple functional areas.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field required. Masters of Healthcare Administration preferred. Minimum five years of related healthcare experience required specifically in payor/provider contract negotiation.

Demonstrated ability to manage within a budget and understand financial data sufficient to analyze trends and make recommendations. Excellent judgement, decision-making, delegating and communications skills. Must be able to work independently, set priorities and maintain complete confidentiality. Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, administration, and payors. Computer Knowledge.
