FSC is specifically looking to grow its Search Marketing Team with individuals that can be active in supporting the success of the client’s online efforts. Primary tasks will be to carry out Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tactics including not limited to: link building, local listing optimization, meta information research and development, and directory submissions.

Candidates should have knowledge of all or most of the following areas:

* Understand search engine algorithms & how they work, along with how search engine spiders work * Understand difference between optimized content and poorly optimized content * Conduct link building in competitive vertical markets * Understand anchor text and relation to inbound link and SEO copy (and other off-page ranking factors) * Understand how title tag, header tags and other on-page factors affect choice of inbound link * Open to understand each client’s business in order to recommend proper search phrases * Know how to determine search volume through available SEO tools * Conduct research on converting keyword patterns and implement them in SEO plan * Able to set up and maintain Google Places, Yahoo Local, Bing Map and similar accounts * Understands Local Search ranking factors for the major search engines * Ability to configure and analyze client web sites for key opportunities through reporting packages * Able to analyze and determine traffic trends to identify key opportunities * Analyze existing performance on pages and provide recommendations to improve performance * Working knowledge of HTML and blog platforms such as WordPress * Strong working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office products required

Beyond the “to-do’s”, the individual should be analytical, with problem-solving skills to find solutions to various internet marketing problems that can prioritize work.? They should have the ability to manage multiple projects, with a passion and curiosity for the ever changing online marketing and SEO industry.

This new team member is expected to contribute new ideas and strategies affecting each client’s online visibility. As with any team member at FSC, this person will be required to ensure that assigned projects are completed correctly, in an intelligent, effective and timely manner.

This is a contract-to-hire position. Compensation is based on experience.
