Title: Database Coordinator
Function:
The Database Coordinator helps to maintain and ensure the integrity of Catholic Charities’ donor database. S/he will manage all aspects of the Raiser's Edge donor database for Catholic Charities, including coordinating upgrades and patches with IT, coordinating NCOA Address updates with Blackbaud, and maintaining data entry and security policies. The Database Coordinator will also create and generate mailing lists, donor recognition lists, and analytic reports in support of all fundraising programs. This person will work closely with gift processing staff and will train staff and provide assistance with new procedures as needed.
Know/How:
This position requires excellent communication, organization, and computer skills and the ability to function both independently and as part of a team. It requires attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
A college degree and a minimum of two years of experience with Raiser’s Edge or relational databases required; fluent in Microsoft Office applications. (Note: You must have a minimum of two years experience with Raisers Edge or relational databases to apply for this position.)
Essential Functions:
• Maintains donor information in Raiser’s Edge by updating constituent records and notes based on donor meetings, newspaper screening, personal correspondence from donors, etc.
• Assists with the Annual Appeal by maintaining and producing constituent reports, detailed donation reports and campaign status updates
• Generates reports for finance and development departments and Catholic Charities leadership and program directors upon request
• Along with the Director of Development, manages and assigns the database work of the Development Assistants
• Manages volunteers and temporary staff when needed
• Assists with daily data and gift entry and weekly processing of acknowledgement letters as needed
• Seeks ways to maximize functionality of Raiser’s Edge in order to support development strategy
• Trains development team in Raiser’s Edge as needed
• Maintains documentation of Raiser’s Edge procedures
• Serves as point of contact for Blackbaud
• Serves as development department liaison to finance department
Assists with other office tasks as requested by the Director of Development and Associate Director of Development
Reports to:
Database Coordinator reports to the Database Manager.
