Security Supervisor

Job Summary:
Manages the security staff and oversees security of all buildings/equipment/grounds. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent and at least 4 years of related experience. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
The job of a Security Supervisor at an installation or premises is a very onerous and highly responsible position which ensures the safety and security of human beings, valuable materials, and classified documents.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Protect the moral, legal and financial assets of NOLA Motorsports Park
• Continually teach associates new and better ways of doing business with an emphasis on STEWARDSHIP, ACCOUNTABILITY, and GUEST SERVICE
• Responsible for the hiring/firing and staff scheduling of the security team
• Responsible for ordering and control of inventory and supplies
• Responsible training in proper use of equipment and safety procedures.
• Possess smart appearance, bearing and turnout of uniform.
• Be alert during duty period.
• Learn all security drills and security procedures laid down in the Standing Orders.
• Report for duty atleast 15 minutes before the start of duty watch to receive briefing and special instructions, if any, from Security Supervisor.
• Check and take charge of duty registers and log books from previous Guard.
• Verify and take charge of important keys from previous Guard.
• Prevent access to any unauthorized persons inside the premises/installation.
• Politely answer any inquiries of visitors and direct them to the appropriate authorities/staff inside after obtaining permission of staff.
• Direct visitors with problems to the concerned authorities.
• Check all personnel and vehicles for identity and purpose of entry.
•Fill in the log of entry and exit of personnel, materials, vehicles and stores.
• Maintain record of Issue of Gate Pass for outgoing materials and stores.
• Monitor behavior of suspicious persons, movement of vehicles and stores.
• All other tasks as assigned

Knowledge and Skills
• Basic math skills required
• Valid drivers license
• Knowledgeable with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Excellent organizational skills

• Reports directly to General Manager
• Track Operations Manager

• Kart Shop Manager and staff

Judgment and Mental Requirements
• Make quick, sound decisions based on facts
• Shows sound judgment, input and ideas for cost control and efficiency.
• Must have excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Be always alert and ready to deal with security emergencies.
• Have Nose for suspicious characters, movements and dangerous situations.
• Possess good memory to remember all the codes and standard security procedures.
• Be able to turn a negative situation into a positive when dealing with dissatisfied patrons and staff.

Physical Demands
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Moderate levels of stress
• During events may require long hours
• Walking and standing for long periods of time

Language Skills
• Must be able to communicate in English.
