Experience The Music:

The 2011 Voodoo Music Experience is offering exciting internship opportunities for individuals with interest and background in set design, interior design, architecture, graphic design, temporary installations, and construction.

Interns have the opportunity to work with an award – winning company (RE:BE Design) under the supervision of Executive Design Producer, Stefan Beese. We are seeking organized and creative individuals who wish to update, develop, and refine their skills in a dynamic and creative environment.

Pre-production opportunities will be available September 1 through October 15. This work will include: conceptual drawings / renderings, working drawings, CAD updates, and research.
On-site work begins two weeks prior to the event and lasts through the strike down of the site.

For three days, City Park is transformed into a city of its own and as a member of the art department, interns will get hands-on experience in the construction and installation of set/stage and site design, as well as the reward of experiencing Voodoo behind the scenes!

Requirements:

Applicants should have experience or strong interest in Architecture, Set Design, Interior Design, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Temporary Installations, or related design areas. Experience in construction or set building is a plus, as well as proficiency with design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD, Rhino, Sketch Up, and other related software. Portfolio samples featuring photographs, drafting, designs and sketches are welcome.
Depending on experience, capabilities, and commitment, interns may be offered future design opportunities.
