Under the oversight of the Vice Chancellor, the Executive Director is responsible for overseeing all components of the 10,000 Small Businesses Program including refinement and delivery of curriculum, business support services and the day-to-day management of program operations. The success candidate will demonstrate vision, management expertise, an in-depth knowledge of small business growth strategies, and an understanding of service delivery operations. The Executive Director must be a self starter, leader, problem solver, skillful communicator, creative, opportunistic and an effect collaborator.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Launch, operate, and continuously improve the 10,000 Small Businesses Program; ensure the high quality service delivery and tight integration of the academic, business services and mentoring components (20%)

• Oversee operations including staffing, budgeting, service delivery and curriculum delivery, events, clinics and graduation (20%)

• Coordinate efforts across different areas of the College to deliver a unified and comprehensive program (10%)

• Develop and effectively manage relationships with key stakeholders in the academic, political and business community; (20%)

• Develop targeted outreach, marketing and recruitment plans to attract the right businesses to the program (20%)

• Create and implement effective performance metrics to measure the success of the program; lead the implementation and ongoing collection of data to manage performance (10%)

Minimum Qualifications

• Five years experience in operating a small and/or an-depth knowledge of growth strategies for small businesses
• Highly organized
• Knowledge of how to develop and maintain relations with business, industry and community partners
• Experience in the creation and delivery of training and educational programs
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule

Minimum Education

• Advanced degree from an accredited college/university in Business, Management, Public Administration
