Director of Development for non-profit arts organization serving the regional arts and cultural community. Working with President/CEO and Board of Directors, Development Director will design and implement a strategic fundraising plan to broaden the base of sustainable financial support for continued growth of the organization. Position will manage one assistant, provide leadership and direction to all staff in support of development efforts, and work with Marketing and Communications staff to secure positive media placement and maintain organization’s long-established identity. Responsibilities include: prospect research; cultivation of corporate, foundation, and individual donors; maintaining support of government agencies; grant and report writing; planning and implementing fundraising events; securing event sponsorships; membership campaigns and other activities in support of the organization’s mission.
