System Management Technologies, Inc. (SMT) has an opportunity with a major oil company to provide 1 Network Engineer and 3 IT Technicians to work in their upstream environment.

The Network Engineer will be responsible for creating and securing a gateway between the business network and off-shore process control networks. The position will be located in downtown New Orleans.

The 3 IT Technicians will work offshore in the Gulf of Mexico and will be required to work 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotations and shifts of 12 hours per day. These Technicians will be responsible for imaging and patching computers (OS/applications), scheduling updates and writing scripts and/or procedures to allow the updates to continue over time and be handled by non-IT personnel, such as an E&I Technicians. Pay for these positions will be based on the candidates’ level of experience. This contract will begin immediately and continue through 12/31/2012.
