Position:

The Elementary School Operations Manager is responsible for all non-teaching and back-office functions for the school, ensuring the proper administrative and communications tasks and systems are in place to support student achievement in the classroom every day.

Background:

New Orleans College Prep’s mission is to prepare each of its students to enter and excel in a rigorous four-year college or university. The school opened for an entering class of sixth graders in August 2007 and has grown ambitiously to serve a population of 850 students – (250 students in grades 9-10, 300 students in grades 5-8 and 300 students in grades K-4.) We will add a grade every year to eventually serve grades K-12. NOCP is also planning to expand its services to open additional K-12 campuses throughout New Orleans. On June 30, 2010, NOCP was the only 3rd-year New Orleans charter school to receive a full 2 year extension to its charter, satisfying all academic and financial requirements of the state.

Our mission is to prepare each of our students to enter and excel in a rigorous 4-year college or university. In contrast to low-performing public schools that fail to focus on results, NOCP utilizes an extended school day and year, a disciplined and nurturing school culture, and data-driven instruction to drive dramatic gains in student achievement. New Orleans College Prep will provide all our students with a sound college preparatory education that rivals the academic rigor of the best private and public schools in the city.
