Interactive Architects generate best-in-class interaction design planning documents for digital projects that support the objectives of the client, allowing for integration between usability design and creative approaches.

Using a customer-focused approach, the Information Architect will define content structure, navigational systems, user/process flows, and page interactions for a variety of interactive properties. The Information Architect will create detailed documentation to be used by multiple teams (designers, copywriters, developers, and QA) that will ensure a consistent product throughout the life cycle of the project.

Responsibilities

- Understand and translate client's business goals, user/customer needs and technical requirements into detailed recommendations for enhanced performance

- Create detailed and accurate user flows and wireframes of various processes on e-commerce, mobile, and community web properties

- Develop sitemaps and content taxonomies to support usability and findability of information

- Focus on creating and delivering a consistent and compelling user experience across all verticals

- Evaluate the competitive landscape and research trends in e-commerce, social networks, new technologies and interaction design

- Contribute to the creation and implementation of design standards and best practices, and to the promotion of user-centered design throughout the agency

Requirements

- Degree or study in information architecture, information design, graphic design, human-computer interaction, marketing, or related field

- 1-2 years experience in information architecture or related design field, agency experience preferred – Strong portfolio showing ability to design intuitive site functionality, cross-tactic interactions, user interfaces, and navigation

- Excellent written, oral, and visual communication skills with the ability to write clear, concise, detailed requirements

- Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign and Fireworks

- Solid understanding of principles of information organization, user interface design and user-centered design

- Experience with wireframing/prototyping software

- Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS design capabilities
