DS is an online fashion marketplace and blog connecting buyers and sellers of new and pre-owned designer goods. We have a showroom/store in Uptown New Orleans, and are looking for a part-time Fashion Intern to join our growing operation.

As a member of the DesignerSocial team you will have the opportunity to play a hands-on roll in our marketing, merchandising, and client relations objectives. We are looking for a passionate person in pursuit of a career in the retail industry, has a background in social media, excellent relationship skills, strong work ethic and genuine enthusiasm.

The Fashion Intern is responsible for the following:
• Assist in the daily operations of the showroom including: photography, merchandising, packing, shipping, customer service, data entry, online research, mailings, assist with promotions, press outreach etc

To apply for this position, you should clearly demonstrate the following qualities:

#1 Knowledge of, and appreciation for fashion. Must know designer brands (Chanel, Gucci, Prada etc).
• 1-2 years of Sales experience is preferred but not required
• Great people skills
• Excellent communication and follow through
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ambition, strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Be able to work weekends
