Mudbug Media is a New Orleans based business specializing in web and print media, with a focus on graphic design and custom application development.

Our programming department is offering a paid internship to a bright individual wanting to develop database-driven web applications. The person must be able to produce high-quality DRY code, grok new technologies, and complete projects in a timely manner. Our internships include a path for promotion to a full-time salaried position.

All of our applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Knowledge of current web-based technologies and trends. Our platforms include: Ruby on Rails, git, PHP, .NET, Spring MVC, Java, MySQL, HTML5, CSS, jQuery, Objective C, Linux
• Software engineering experience including Agile development methodologies
• Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Motivated to continually learn new technologies
• Good documentation skills
• Basic SQL knowledge
• Must work on-site in our New Orleans CBD office for 20-40 hours a week
