Federated Sample is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our global product development team. Our clients use our flagship products, Fulcrum and Samplicio.us, to manage and execute complex, large-scale online sampling projects (surveys). Our development centers are located in New Orleans, Singapore, and Manila, Philippines.

The Senior Software Engineer will be part of our development team in New Orleans and work closely with development team peers, Product Management team, and business and other support teams.

Requirements/Experience

• Masters or Bachelors degree in Computer Science
• Seven years of hands-on software development experience in C# and .NET framework
• Strong Object Oriented Programming skills
• Strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
• Experience with implementing software for high-volume transactional systems
• Strong SQL and Database performance tuning skills
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, JSON, XML, and other associated technologies
• Strong debugging skills and ability to rapidly debug and solve problems in unfamiliar areas
• Experience in working in an Agile environment, with rapidly changing requirements and tight deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop software features as described in the functional specifications documents. Collaborate with Product Managers and business stakeholders when needed to refine and modify requirements
• Participate in design sessions with the technical lead and software architect in establishing the firms’ design paradigms and design patterns
• Develop reusable classes and interfaces in conjunction with the design patterns and software design
• Demonstrate strong unit testing and integration testing practices. Collaborate effectively with the software development team in code and feature integration aspects
• Aggressively resolve issues during the QA phase of the software release cycle
• Gain expertise in deployment process and assist in deployment as required
• Document code clearly and contribute to technical documentation for the platform
• Actively assist in support tickets and emergency bug fixes and rollouts
• Support the business teams and product managers in data extracts and data analysis
• Perform as a true Agile team member and exhibit competencies in all layers of the application stack. Demonstrate proficiency in developing software for user interface, business logic, data modeling and systems and component integration
