The Mayor’s Office of Communications seeks an experienced professional for a Communications Manager position. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in public relations, media or a government office. Responsibilities include acting as a liaison to several departments at City Hall, drafting press releases, talking points, and briefing memos, assisting with planning press conferences, coordinating media interviews with City officials, and other various tasks to assist the Communications team. Reports directly to the Mayor’s Director of Communications. Candidates must have a strong work ethic and the ability to work flexible hours, function well as a team player, and juggle multiple tasks on deadline in a fast-paced environment.
