Jackson Noble, a New Orleans based premier provider of Human Capital Solutions, is partnering with the NOLA Business Alliance to fill its highly critical Controller role. The NOLA Business Alliance is a start-up not-for-profit corporation that serves as the City of New Orleans’ official public-private partnership for economic development. The organization is tasked with developing the strategic economic development plan for the city with a focus on business retention & expansion, retail attraction and corporate relocation. Its 17-member board is comprised of civic and business leaders who represent diverse interests including higher education, government, for profit and not-for-profit organizations.

The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the organization in all aspects of accounting while also performing the duties apropos to a Chief Financial Officer. Within the framework of a start-up, it is essential that the incumbent is capable of establishing a strong financial and operational foundation by implementing financial and operational policies and procedures. This is a high visibility position that requires strong accounting acumen as well as the ability to effectively communicate with the organization's CEO and an involved Board of Directors.

Consideration for this role requires experience performing the following:

• Non-profit and/or governmental auditing procedures as well as grant accounting.
• Creating cash flow projections, financial reporting and analysis.
• Fiscal Policy and Procedure Manual customization.
• Creating and maintaining monthly financials.
• Establishing financial models aligned with organizational short and long term objectives.
• General Ledger/AR/AP System maintenance.
• Third party vendor procurement.
• Organizational retirement plan and health plan selection.
• Operational budget management of at least $2MM.
• Cash flow strategy development.

Operational responsibilities of this role shall include:

• Office Management encompassing daily operations, contracts management, and facility management.
• Supervision of two to three administrative staff members.
• Development and management of Organizational Policies & Procedures.
• Management of Organizational General Liability Insurance, Worker’s Compensation Insurance, and Directors & Officers Insurance.
• Human Resources functions such as benefits management, recruiting, new hire onboarding, managing personnel issues, employee development, etc.
• All Other duties as assigned.
