The City of New Orleans, Office of the Mayor is seeking a staff assistant to provide administrative support in several areas. To seek the position, please submit resume and a writing sample to mgpettingill@nola.gov by Monday, February 13th for consideration.

Responsibilities will include management of correspondence including reviewing, routing and responding to constituent letters, emails and phone calls; management of databases for correspondence, contacts and scheduling; assisting members of the executive office; and special events and projects as assigned.

Skills required include:

• Strong work ethic and ability to juggle multiple tasks on a deadline in a fast-paced environment
• High level of organization with strong attention to detail
• High level of discretion and judgment in accommodating guests, visitors and constituents
• Must maintain confidentiality at all times
• Professionalism & service-oriented attitude
