Job Summary/Basic Function: The Executive Director of the Digital Media Education Center is responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of a consistent, high-quality content delivery / distribution system at Delgado Community College. The Executive Director ensures that the implementation of prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives by keeping abreast of news, workforce trends, and developments related to the Digital Media industry within the Greater New Orleans Region, the State of Louisiana and throughout the nation. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, and have experience with integrating traditional and new media practices while maximizing the effectiveness of limited resources. This position focuses heavily on curriculum development, delivery and evaluation of the mission of the program, and practical application of successful adult learning practices and techniques.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Education, Communications or related subject required. Degree must be from a regionally accredited institution.

Preferred Education: Master's degree preferred. Degree must be from a regionally accredited institution.

Minimum Qualifications/ Work Experience: Minimum of 5 – 7 years professional and administrative experience, preferably in the Digital Media / Computer Science industry with duties relevant to those of the position, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable skills are obtained. Superior knowledge of current Digital Media trends and techniques.

Preferred Qualifications/ Work Experience: Previous experience in a higher education setting with proven professional responsibilities in excecuting and managing projects, continuing education programs, and related activities.

Strong background in video game design; knowledge of film / video production / post-production; familiarity with software used in training within the Digital Media Education Center, such as Adobe AfterEffects, Autodesk Maya, Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Smoke, NukeX, and Adobe Photoshop (or similar titles).
