Gris Gris Lab (www.grisgrislab.com) seeks an intern to work 10 hours per week as a gallery assistant for a credit based internship through a local college or university in New Orleans. This opportunity may turn into a part time paid position pending a successful completion of the internship and volunteer trial period.

Gris Gris Lab is an international healing arts movement that produces multidisciplinary cultural projects, wellness events, creative consultation, intentional community based workshops, and eco-tourist work exchange programs.

The intern would be expected to:
Have excellent communication skills
Lead gallery tours
Research incoming artists and their work
Speak eloquently and intelligently about gallery
Work 10 hours per week
Attend monthly staff and cooperative potluck strategy dinners

Intern would receive:
Curatorial training
Professional mentoring
Networking opportunities
Free admission to classes, workshops and events
Opportunity for hire pending successful internship after semester review
