Friends of the Cabildo is a non-profit organization that supports the Louisiana State Museum in the heart of the French Quarter. We are currently seeking an individual that is interested in a career in museums or the non-profit sector. Self starter, proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, excellent phone etiquette, outgoing demeanor and the ability to multi-task are all a must.

As our intern, you will be able to work in various aspects of the non-profit world and gain valuable experience. This opportunity will allow the selected individual to be “hands on” in fundraising management, direct mail campaigns, newsletter publishing, membership recruitment and also gain an overall increased knowledge of the operations of a non-profit organization.

Intern must be able to provide general office support and special event assistance.
Duties include, but are not limited to:

Phone Support
Data Entry
Event Setup/Breakdown
Research
Newsletter Content/Layout
Office Errands
Mailings
