Nationally expanding New-Orleans based non-profit Operation REACH, Inc. is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to provide leadership of the organization’s financial unit.

Operation REACH, Inc is a non-profit community education corporation dedicated to providing high-quality educational opportunities for youth and their families. Our programs are designed to foster life-long learning and personal success in the areas of work, recreation and community service through a cradle-to-career pipeline of programs.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides operational and administrative support and leadership to the organization. The CFO supervises the finance unit and is the chief financial spokesperson for the organization. The CFO reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and assists other Management Staff on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding.

The CFO will:
• Foster and cultivate business opportunities and partnerships, create and assess financial statements and budget documents.
• Recognize and be responsive to the needs of all clients of the organization, including funding organizations, the Board of Directors, local community advocates, participants, and employers.
• Supervise staff, including regular progress reviews and plans for improvement.
• Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.

Qualifications: High energy and enthusiasm with the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively. Must have knowledge of non-profit accounting in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, OMB Circulars A-133, A-110 and A-122, TANF program regulations and compliance requirements, and appropriate Code of Federal Regulations sections. Ideal candidate must also have an awareness of issues, concerns, and barriers of employees newly entering the workforce; resources of public and private social service and related agencies; and organizational development, human resources, and program operations.; 3-5 years of financial experience and senior management experience with the day-to-day financial operations of an organization of at least 50 staff persons; two years of direct service delivery experience; and a Master's degree in business, finance or accounting preferred. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.

Location: New Orleans, LA
Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 depending upon experience
