The 2010 Essence Music Festival is offering intern positions for the
assembling of an art department, responsible for all construction/installation/set-up on site in the Louisiana Superdome. This year will host an Extended VIP Area, Artist dressing rooms and lounges, and various spaces in need of art, deco, and lighting installations to transform and create an entirely new environment and experience within the Superdome.
We seek crafty and creative individuals who are capable of working with a team to successfully construct and install all art related elements of
this year's festival. This is for the purpose of creating a reliable and interested staff of to come back and work in more depth with RE:BE and Rehage Entertainment on a more consistent/long term basis. Depending on experience and capabilities, interns will be offered design opportunities on future projects.
Work begins two-three weeks prior to the event (July 4th weekend), and lasts through strike-down of the site. Interns have the opportunity of working with Executive Design Producer Stefan Beese, and hands-on participation in the set/stage/site
design responsibilities, as well as the reward of experiencing Essence
behind the scenes!
