Abeona House Child Discovery Center is a non-profit childcare center inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to learning. Visit our website at www.abeonahouse.org to learn more about our daily work with children 6 weeks-5 years, our mission, and values.

We are seeking interns with an interest in Early Childhood Education, the Reggio Emilia approach, and changing the way people look at the capability of young children. For the last 2 years, we've been using blogging, photography and written notes to do that.

In the next months, we will begin documenting our work with children in new ways. We are seeking interns who would like to learn about these methodologies.

Interns would:
-record video of children at play, in group work, in dialogue with the teacher;
-reflect on these with the teacher;
-archive most crucial bits that reveal new layers of thinking and working together using our online blog;
-help shape our documentation to serve us better as a tool for reflecting on our practices
-work one day per week (minimum) in this capacity over the course of one year (August-May)
