ILSS is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the below listed position.

Operations Plan Training and Exercise Analysts

The ideal candidate will be responsible for development, review, planning and execution of training programs for Commander, Marine Forces North (MFN), subordinate commands, and Supporting Element Commands, specifically focusing on Homeland Defense, Defense Support of Civil Authorities, and Homeland Security.

Develop, propose, publish, and maintain the Commander's Annual Training Guidance that addresses all training and exercise requirements for MARFORNORTH Staff, LNOs, and SEC for anti-terrorist (AT) Program and FP responsibilities.

Develop and publish Commander's Quarterly Training Guidance, as required.

Develop, propose, publish, and maintain a MFN Staff Training Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in order to implement Department of Defense (DOD), NORTHCOM, and Head Quarters Marine Corps (HQMC) policy governing Staff Officer training and organizational (unit) exercises for MFN within the USNORTHCOM area of responsibility in conjunction with the AT Training and Exercise Analyst.

Coordinate development and publication of COMMARFORNORTH training and exercise directives, as required.

Coordinate and review NORTHCOM and Service orders, directives, and manuals that pertain to organizational exercises and individual training and provide recommended inputs derived from those reviews.

Keep the MFN staff informed of all training and exercise program policies and procedures required by the CMFN and COMUSNORTHCOM in order to be in compliance with said policies and procedures.

Maintain a current listing of all directives, orders, manuals, and instructions pertaining to exercises and training, as applicable to MFN activities.

Develop and maintain a "Continuity Folder" that contains POCs, routine activities, on-going projects, OPSO guidance, etc.

On a monthly basis, the Training & Exercise (T&E) Analyst is required to access the JTIMS website on the SIPR, and update MARFORNORTH's training proficiency as it pertains to its Mission Essential Task List. JTIMS is the Joint Training Information Management System. JTIMS provides the ability to make Training Proficiency Assessments (TPA) and METL Training Assessments (MTA), which feed into the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS).

Required Skills:

The ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

Prior Military Service, preferably with the U.S. Marine Corps

Minimum of 2-5 years of prior experience as a training officer

Experience with writing and implementing training material

Strong written and oral communications skills

Ability to effectively prioritize and handle concurrent tasks
