Job Description

Acadiana CARES, in conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Health- Office of Public Health-STI/HIV/HCV Program (LDH-OPH-SHHP), is seeking a Health Models Program Monitor.  The Health Models Program Monitor will coordinate, monitor, expand and oversee the agency’s statewide Health Models Strategy at nine participating Health Model’s clinics across Louisiana. The Program Monitor will train clinic staff, monitor clinic progress, budgets, and audit all programmatic activities.  Candidates with a strong background in data informatics, data management and bioinformatics analytic programs are encouraged to apply.

Job Requirements

·         Excellent skills in community engagement, facilitation, quality assurance and policy and procedure development;

·         General knowledge of HIV/AIDS transmission; medication adherence;

·         Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access electronic health records;

·         Intermediate-level knowledge of biostatistics analytic programs (ex. SAS).

Education and Experience

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Health Education/Health Promotion, Public Health, Public Administration, Sociology, Psychology or closely related field. Three (3) years of relevant professional experience. Intermediate level data informatics systems knowledge.  Must have strong knowledge of HIV/AIDS and program implementation.

Preferred:

Master’s degree in Health Education/Health Promotion, Public Health, Public Administration, Sociology, Psychology or related field, and two (2) years related experience. Or a Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience.
