Become the maestro of our projects!
As the Project Manager, you’ll orchestrate projects to perfection, ensuring they hit all the right notes on time and within budget. You’ll track progress, lead teams, and swiftly tackle any project risks and issues.
Reporting Relationship: Directly reports to the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Team Player: Work harmoniously with everyone—management, coworkers, customers, and vendors.
- Strategic Contributor: Help shape the department’s strategic and operating plans.
- Implementation Coordinator: Collaborate with LAMMICO staff and vendors on new systems, major upgrades, and process improvements.
- Relationship Builder: Forge partnerships essential for project success.
- Strategic Planner: Assist with corporate strategic planning and monitor strategic initiatives.
- Risk Manager: Facilitate Enterprise Risk Management meetings and update the ERM plan.
- Liaison: Act as the go-between for LAMMICO and project resources, ensuring smooth communication.
- Project Architect: Create business cases, charters, schedules, and resource plans.
- Progress Tracker: Maintain a formal reporting system and ensure tasks are completed.
- Status Reporter: Keep everyone in the loop on project status and recommend corrective actions.
- Tester: Oversee the development and validation of test plans.
- Risk Mitigator: Anticipate, identify, and manage project risks with contingency plans.
- Decision Facilitator: Aid in decision-making and prioritizing of activities
- Post-Mortem Analyst: Provide post-project reports highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
- Communicator: Develop and execute a communication plan to keep the organization informed.
- Tech Enthusiast: Stay updated on emerging technologies and their applications.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Demonstrated experience in successfully leading major corporate projects using Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies
- Familiarity with project management tools and software packages
- Familiarity with Enterprise Risk Management frameworks and tools
- Strong customer focus and team orientation
- Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive company information
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact and work effectively with employees at all levels within the organization
- Ability to manage time, set priorities and work independently
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Programs
- Professional Certifications in Project Management (PMP, CSM, Safe5 Agilist)
Desired:
- Insurance industry experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years related experience managing complex projects highly preferred
- Experience managing technical project including system upgrades, enhancements and new application business development
- Prior business analysis experience, including development and documentation of business processes and requirements, systems testing, training, and project implementation
- Professional designations in Project Management
- Professional certifications in Enterprise Risk Management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $82,700.00 - $93,060.00 per year
