Job Description

TIME FRAME: This is a short term, seasonal position.

April 8 to May 15, 2024


POSITION SUMMARY:

Support the Transportation Coordinator and Administrator by assisting in fleet management, conducting inspections, analyzing and resolving issues related to all rolling stock, including vehicles, carts, and trucks. Coordinate with vendors regarding deliveries, rental inspections, schedules, and exception reports.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Aid the Transportation department in monitoring the fleet for inspections and damages.
  • Maintain a comprehensive file of all fleet inspections and scheduled vendor deliveries.
  • Ensure constant awareness of all operational equipment on the festival site to promote safety.
  • Supervise and collaborate with vendor mechanics while on-site.
  • Provide assistance to various department heads to streamline transportation operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Utilize the Absentee Request Form for accurate reporting of absenteeism.
  • Maintain confidentiality on sensitive issues.
  • Submit any intellectual property created for the Jazz Festival to the Festival Finance Office as required.
  • Attend and complete all required training sessions.
  • Submit Feedback Forms and Final Reports promptly.
  • Perform any additional work-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Preferably, experience in event production. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a highly stressful environment. Physical exertion and stamina are necessary, including the ability to perform heavy lifting.

Pay: $20/hour
