Job Description
Campus Assistance Program Counselor
The LSUHSC New Orleans Campus Assistance Program (CAP) is accepting applications from clinical social workers for the position of CAP counselor.
The mission of the LSUHSC Campus Assistance Program (CAP) is to support the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of students, faculty, staff/employees, and immediate family members in order to promote the overall health and effectiveness of the LSUHSC-NO community.
The individual’s responsibilities will include direct clinical services, case management, and a leading role in providing primary prevention services to the population served by LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans.
Required Qualifications:
· Master’s Degree in Social Work
· Licensed in the State of Louisiana
· Clinical Skills, with working knowledge of the DSM-V
· Excellent oral, writing, organizational and computer skills
· Ability to interact with faculty, staff students, family in a professional and courteous manner and work as part of a team
· Two years of relevant experience
Desired Qualifications:
· LCSW
· Employee Assistance Program knowledge and experience
