Work Efficiently Under Pressure

While attending Loyola I full time, I worked 3-4 jobs and maintained a 3.2 gpa. I was also a Social Justice Scholar and worked at the Loyola's Women's Resource Center as Director of Fundraising and was President of Students Against Sexual Assault. I was also on the student justice board and completed the Emerging Leaders Program as well as Emerging Professionals Program. I was trained as a sexual assault advocate and a queer advocate. For my capstone, I administered a survey on sexual assault, domestic violence, and stalking rates on Loyola's campus under the supervision of Dr. Marcus Kondkar. During my time at Loyola, I won the Social Justice Scholarship Award for Outstanding Community Activism, the Janet Mary Riley Award for the Advancement of Women, and the Barbara Ewell Creative Writing Contest. One of my jobs during college was as a bartender, and I still have two bartending jobs. I made semi-finalist and alternate for a Fulbright Award and will be reapplying in 2019. Before I pursue a PhD, I would like a stimulating job in an academic, non-profit, or government setting. I have experience in fudraising, teaching ESL, legal office settings, marketing, promoting campus programming, research, and writing.
