My name is Shelly Zerangue, and I am returning to the work field after intense studies for the past five years. Early in my career I worked as an on-air assistant to Mr. Robert Namer, a am political talk show personality. Though that experience I was able to learn a lot about the campaign process. The interest in politics came at an early age, naturally leading me to the field of law. However, when I decided to have children, I put my career on hold and made my full time job parenting. I started working again on my bachelors after twenty years of absence at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to Seminary my area of study was pre-law at the University of New Orleans. However, my love of country called me to action immediately, so I entered Nunez Community College last summer in the Paralegal program. Being a natural advocate, I set my sights on becoming a notary on top of my full-time schedule at Nunez. Inotarynow, is an intense semester long course, that I am taking again for the second time, along with the workshop that Dr. Milazzo offers. He is well known for his methodology and high success rate of students passing the Notary exam. His courses have taught me more in two semesters than the three years I have spent at universities. His methodology of teaching using a "shells and pearls" approach has given me my notarial skills along with the mastery of the Louisiana Civil Code of Procedure.

In addition to understanding Juridical Acts, I have specialized my area of study in litigation. My courses have been online, and taught me time management, organizational skills, and mastery of multi-tasking efficiently. Throughout my education and life, I have always found psychology fascinating, it was my minor throughout my academic career. By studying psychology, and growing up in New Orleans I consider myself an excellent communicator.

Lastly, but perhaps most importantly, I am seeking a company that will offer me a challenging position utilizing abilities developed through my experience and education, with the opportunity for professional growth based on performance. Loyalty, and the desire to be part of a team makes me the ideal choice in a Paralegal. I pride my self in being hard working, honest, professional and personable, always remaining teachable.

In my spare time I volunteer by teaching young men and women of my community about alcohol and drug abuse. As well as offer solutions using a twelve-step method to recovery with a non-traditional approach.

I also stay current on the Louisiana Legislative sessions.
