To whom it may concern,

I am a fierce advocate for the advancement of the arts through the mediums of education and performance and the accessibility of both of these instruments of change. As a Performance Director for Nickelodeon’s “Paw Patrol Live!: Race to the Rescue,” script supervisor, off broadway stage manager, former Dance Programming intern at The Kennedy Center, a preschool teacher, teaching artist, and a professional theatre performer of over fifteen years, I have garnered insight that have enabled me to realize the successful methods that can be used to increase awareness and accessibility of the arts within the local and international communities.

I received my B.A. degree with a Dance and International Relations double major and a Music minor in vocal performance from Agnes Scott College, a liberal arts, all-women’s college in Atlanta, Georgia. Immediately following graduation, I moved to Washington, D.C. where I was given the phenomenal opportunity to work as the Dance Programming intern for The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. While all falling under arts administration, my roles throughout the course of the internship ranged from assisting with the presentation of the Kennedy Center’s Ballet and Contemporary Dance seasons, to helping produce the in - house company The Suzanne Farrell Ballet, to supporting local dance on the Millennium Stage. Our season included artists such as Ballet West, The Suzanne Farrell Ballet, Carmen de Lavallade, Batsheva, Martha Clarke, and Beijing Dance Theatre.

Most recently in New York, I have had the incredible chance to choreograph, direct and stage manage off broadway shows, as well as tour the US and Canada as the Performance Director for Nickelodeon’s “Paw Patrol Live!” 148 cities, over 250 shows later, I can honestly say this was the most rewarding and challenging experience of my career. While on tour, my responsibilities included; managing the cast in all aspects, stage managing all performances, load in/load out, payroll, scheduling all rehearsals, working directly with the venues to ensure a positive experience, attending and managing the logistics of all publicity and VIP meet and greet appearances, strategize with crew if any technical issues arose, serving as a liaison between Vstar Entertainment Group, Nickelodeon and Cirque du Soleil to ensure a consistent product, and acting as the main point of contact for any and all logistics of performance.

I can contribute positive energy, leadership, and equal parts idealism and realism to the team. Through my experience as a performer and administrator I have been able to work with students, teachers, politicians, musicians, dancers, NGOs, doctors, and government agencies and can bring people skills, travel experience, professional performance experience, fundraising skills, scheduling skills, and a fresh perspective to the table. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my qualifications. I may be reached by phone at the following number (404) 414-8262 and by email cconverseasc@gmail.com.
