<p>This is my 31st year in education in New Orleans.&nbsp; In my current position, I lead the Diverse Learners Department, overseeing IEP services. I manage compliance, coordinate with families and teachers, and support staff to deliver high-quality, student-centered programming. My experience as both a classroom special education teacher and a department leader has provided me with a deep understanding of instructional strategies, legal requirements, and the importance of fostering inclusive school communities. I have successfully streamlined processes for monitoring accommodations, built strong partnerships with families, and trained faculty in best practices for meeting the needs of diverse learners. Under my leadership, our Diverse Learners Department has successfully emerged from a corrective action plan with LDOE and had an audit that met 100% compliance. </p><p><br></p>
